Wow, I thought, “These beach things look like an abstract painting by Klee or Miro!”

All the critics agree. Also, I just realized that these are probably the sunglasses which have recently drifted into my possesion! Gross, it’s like seeing a picture of the sunglasses with their ex-lover TAKE THEM OFF

Hmph. Well, I took my first stab at screenprinting out in ye olde garden shed behind the house this weekend… and it didn’t go “perfectly”. Goshdarnit! I really wanted to get those valentines done and I don’t have much time left before Feb 14! But the screen and squeegee I’m using are not great, and, sigh, I think I just have to get better equipment (read- spend still MORE money) in order to get an end result that’s not all messed up and anger-inducing. Plus my table is kind of bumpy despite my best efforts to put a perfectly smooth paint job on it — the paint roller left little texture marks that show up in the screenprint! Oh the humanity! Looks like I’ll be sanding down the table! Arrrrgh! But! Let’s focus on the positive here. It is really cool to have an art space in the backyard - I love it. Also, I can apparently grow marijuana (those of us in the know call it waccy baccy) with my 400W metal halide exposure lamp.
